Barry Livett, Chairman of the BCCC Director's Forum, would like to invite you to
join a BCCC Director's Dinner at The Capital Club on May the 15th to meet with the
Director General, Miles Templeman and fellow members from the Institute of
Directors (IoD) who will be travelling to China for the first time.
The delegation would like to meet with BCCC Director's Forum members and Chamber
associates to better understand the business environment and learn more about the
practical side of doing business in China. For over 100 years the IoD has given
support to members representing industry across the board. With over 52,000
individual members, many of which already are here in China, or wish to trade with
or in China, the IoD would like to engage and develop an overview of the strategic
outlook for business prospects in China so that they can better inform their
members in the UK.
This would also be a useful opportunity for members to build a strategic
relationship with the IoD, to develop and strengthen the Director's Forum's network.
Other IoD members on the delegation will be: Prof. Graeme Leach, Chief Economist,
Institute of Directors; Mr John Gill, Former Board Director with Panasonic UK
(Matsushita Electric) and heavily involved with the IMD business school in
Lausanne; Mr Kevin Orchard, Director, Intertek Plc., a FTSE 250 company, which
employs 2,000 people in China.
As spaces are limited, please let us know as soon as you can if you are
available to join us.
There is no cost for the event. Compliments of IOD
