NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTED 

We are delighted to announce that with effect from May 1st 2006, Chris Baron has 
been appointed as Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in China.

Chris has extensive China business and management experience with GlaxoSmithKline, 
Chiron Vaccines and latterly with his own consulting firm.  This breadth of 
experience, spanning large corporates and SMEs, will provide Chamber members with a 
valuable resource.  Chris is well known to many of us in the business community in 
Beijing and is already familiar with the Chamber and with our various partners in 
China, such as CBBC, UKTI and the CBI.

The Chairman and the entire Executive Committee look forward to working with Chris 
in the coming years, to continue the growth and development of the Chamber, 
building on the achievements of Nigel Clark, and extending the Chamber's services 
to its members.
