Position Overview:
The Head of Admissions provides leadership for recruiting activities to achieve the College’s strategic enrolment goals.
Required Skills:
Experience of working with students. Excellent writing, speaking, networking and presentational skills. Creative problem solver. Familiarity with common computer software and standard data manipulation (Excel spreadsheets etc). Ability and willingness to work with a diverse population of students. Professional demeanor. Strong strategic thinking skills. Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Experience:
At least two years experience in Admissions, preferably at an international school.

Instrument Specialist (Brass)

Position Overview:
Dulwich College Shanghai Junior School seeks an excellent part-time Instrument Specialist [Brass] to join its committed teaching team for the 2010 / 2011 academic year starting in August 2010.
Required Skills:
University degree or equivalent on main instrument or instrument from same family. Proven experience with teaching one-to-one and in small groups on instrument. Ability to work constructively within a team, be flexible and use initiative. A passion for music and music education with students displaying a broad-spectrum of abilities. A willingness to explore an extensive array of musical genres, styles, cultures and situations.

Preferred Experience:
Specialist Instrument Teacher in one-to-one and small group instrument tuition working within the guidelines of the Instrument Tuition Programme, which includes the development and application of a course of study for the individual instrumental student. Either as an Assistant for Year 3 Music (Strings Programme) or Co-teacher in Year 4 Music (Band Programme), as per instrument specialty. Assistance at Music Department concerts, soirees, and music camp, (not included in teaching load) To be available within the scope teaching load for other reasonable duties to assist and ensure the smooth running of the Music Department.
