Procedure for the
UK
Business Fast Track (BFT) Visa Scheme
Eligibility
- All Corporate Member of
the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai can
register to use the BFT Scheme
- Only direct employees
of companies registered to use the BFT Scheme are eligible
Procedure to Apply for Registration
for the BFT Scheme
- Contact Ms. Jenny Dong at jenny.dong@sha.britcham.org or 62185022-21, let
her know you are applying for Business Fast Track Scheme,
and the contact details of your BFT contact person.
- Download the company letter here
and print it on your company letterhead notepaper, complete
details and obtain original signatures, 'chop' the letter
and post/deliver it to the following address:

will confirm membership and pass the letter to the Visa Section of the
consulate.
Procedure for
Using BFT to Applying for a Business Visitor Visa
- Deliver all the
required documentation (see below) to the Visa Application
Centre. Make sure that all the documents are correct.
- Flag your application folder
with a label written " Business
Fast Track" . Draw the
attention of the person accepting the application to this.
- Applications made between 08:00
to 09:00 Monday to Friday at Visa Application Centre
Shanghai will normally be available the same day Monday
to Thursday between 16:30 - 17:30 and Friday between 15:30 - 16:30 from
the Visa Application Centre. Due to logistics this cannot
be done for BFT applications made in Nanjing or Hangzhou.
Applications made to the VAC in Hangzhou or Nanjing can
collect their visa on the third working
day from
the same VAC.
- Visa applications are
subject to the normal vetting procedure.

Documentation
Required to Apply for a Business Visitor Visa
- The UK Visa Application Form.
Can be downloaded from the website: www.uk.cn
or www.ukvac.net.cn.
- 2 passport size colour photographs not older than 3 months old and
printed on a white background. Please read the information regarding
photo specs on the website: www.ukvac.net.cn
- A letter from the Chinese company
detailing the length, duration and purpose of the visit to the UK.
- An invitation letter from
the UK company detailing the length, duration and purpose of
the visit to the UK.
- A valid passport.

Resolution
- Any general enquiries with regard
to the visa application procedure must be made to the Visa
Application Centre directly.
- If a problem
arising with an application the office will attempt to
assist you, please contact Ms. Jasmine Wang at BritCham. You must supply the name,
passport number and application date to facilitate tracking.
